‘Housemate’ in big trouble

DAVAO CITY-Looks like “Pinoy Big Brother” celebrity housemate Gretchen Malalad is in big trouble. She may lose her job in the military because she failed to ask permission from her superiors before entering the contest.

Lt. Col. Restituto Padilla, Philippine Air Force (PAF) spokesperson, told the Inquirer by phone that Malalad, who holds the rank of Airwoman Second Class (AW2C), was declared absent without leave (AWOL) on Thursday.

Malalad’s job is unknown to many. Most fans know her only as the gold medalist in karatedo during the 23rd Southeast Asian games. Her PBB housemates have no clue.
Padilla said Malalad was already in trouble as early as January, when she stopped reporting for work at the Air Force Service Support Group (AFSSG) in Villamor Air Base.
She made things worse by joining PBB, he said.

Malalad’s superiors and colleagues didn’t know what she was up to, Padilla said, until they saw her on TV. “After discussing
it, Lt. Col. Alejandro Camagay, commander of the Air Force Service Support Group, and I declared her AWOL.”

If Malalad fails to report in the next few days, he added, she will be penalized. Soldiers who go AWOL are normally kicked out; some face administrative charges.
Padilla said Malalad, 26, also failed to report for Basic Military Training, which all soldiers are required to undergo.
The first cycle of the three-month training started Thursday at the Fernando Air Base in Lipa City, Batangas.

A few of Malalad’s colleagues pointed out that her joining PBB violated “every PAF rule.” Plus, they said, her “very long hair” runs contrary to the requirement of short hair for soldiers.

The back to basics theme seems to be making Big Brother into some other reality show… Survivor.

Here are the reasosn why I think ginagaya ng PBB ang Survivor :
1.) Uncomfortable sleeping place aka matigas na higaan
2.) Manual water source aka kailangan mag-igib ng tubig
3.) The forbidden room which reminds me of the reward challenges like staying for
a night in a yatch. The concept is the same. Yung iba kailangan magtiis tapos yung
karamihan kailangan magtiis.
4.) Councilfor rewards and punishment- parang tribal council

May naisip pa ba kayong similarity?

The Housemates have succeeded in their first weekly task. After only two days of working for the task, the housemates are victorous in filling their swimming pool with water. Nice team work guys!

Tatatlong araw pa lang ang Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition at meron ng away. Interesting talaga ang halo ng tao dito sa loob ng bahay kaya hindi surpising na maulit pa ang sagutan at iyakan tulad ng nangyari sa episode kagabi.

So sinu-sino naman ang involved sa away? Meet the protagonists of the first fight in PBB’s Celbrity Edition:

Primer….
Kilabot ng Senado, Keanna Reeves, fails in her task. So Big Brother summons three housemates and instructs them to discuss with all housemates the punishment for Ms. Reeves. They hold different opinions on the matter and….

Round 1:
Mich Dulce doesn’t agree with the idea of changing the personality of Keanna which Angela suggested. Of course, MIch would oppose such idea since she is the yardstick of individuality
inside the PBB House.

To add to this., Gretchen makes a comment to Angela that she seems to oppose Keanna when Keanna speaks.

Angela feels the beating is enough and retreats….

Round 2:
Entering back the discussion Angela reacts when Mich suggests of an activity (I respect you because activity). Angela feels this is an attack to her. So iyakan blues na.

Buti na lang in the end cooler heads prevailed. At nagbati na sila. Sayang, I would have wanted to see hair pulling and aggression ala mudwrestling. Hehe. =)

Though I still expect a rematch sometime soon since these three are strong women at di sila magpapatalo. Tama ba ako?

I haven’t heard Big Brother’s voice yet. Pero meron namang iban nagsasalita for him. Aside from his letters/ instructions at last bight’s episode, meron nagpakilalang katulong ni Kuya. I guess it’s a good ploy para naman may pahinga si Big Bro. So just in case kailangan ni Big Bro matulog, yung katulong na lang yung sasagot. O diba? How convenient.

Mukhang naging maganda ang mix ng tao sa loob ng bahay. Wala pa namang nagaaway at mukhanng masaya pa silang lahat. This early wala pa kong makitang alliances or factions inside the house. Though may nakikita na akong dominante sa loob. Sino nga ba ito? E, di si Mich Dulce. Sa mga lalake, si Budoy pa lang ang nakikitang kong may potensyal makapag-cause ng away. So it’s my guess na sa lahat ng 14 celebrity housemates, sila ang mga candidates ko to be the early evictees. I don’t know. Isang araw pa lang so hindi pa talaga natin malalaman. Isa pa palang kandidato ay si Rustom, napagalitan siya ni Big Bro dahil sa kanyang microphone. Is he another Rico in the making? Tignan na lang natin. I would want to have him stay longer para makita ang mgapwede niya pang ipakita lalo na ngayon na ibang-iba ang itsura niya.

Sa episode din kagabi hindi ko pa masyadong nakikita o naririnig si Roxanne, Bianca, Christian, Rudy, at Rico. Hopefully mamaya ay mapansin ko na sila. Medyo nakuha kasi ni Mich at Keanna ang limelight kagabi. So sana mamaya makita at marinig ko rin ang iba pang celebs.

After more than a month of waiting, bukas na ulit ang Bahay ni Kuya. Matagal-tagal din akong napahinga sa pagsusulat, pero mukhang todo sulat ulit ako muli since mukhang magiging interesting ang turnout ng bagong edition ng PBB.

Sa mga nagvist at nagcomment sa blog na ito noong unang Pinoy Big Brother, sana sa Celebrity edition na ito, patuloy kayong magvist at magcomment. I’ll keep you posted on what’s happening inside the house.
